Product Description
The Aqara Door and window sensor by Xiaomi is a very compact sensor that can be easily placed at windows, doors and other access points to detect opening and closing. The sensor runs wirelessly on a CR1632 battery.
Official EU version
These versions are CE approved and thus comply with European Union directives and thus suitable for home use. Another advantage is that the EU versions of Aqara connect to Xiaomi's European servers (when connected to the Aqara hub). Xiaomi cannot guarantee that other versions will continue to work because they connect to Chinese servers.

The Door and Window sensor detects the status of a door, window or entrance gate and transmits this opened or closed status to the base station (for example, the Aqara Hub). Size of the sensor is 42x22x11mm.
HomeKit
Aqara products can be used via Apple's HomeKit. The connection of the Aqara products then runs through the Aqara Hub. The Aqara Hub is available separately and is not supplied as standard.
