Clean daily: A robot vacuum cleaner is going to take a task off your hands. Occasionally, though, you'll need to empty the robot and do some spot checking and maintenance to make sure it continues to perform optimally. This means that iRobot also makes sure that parts that need to be replaced are in stock.
Good to know: To really take all the work off your hands, it's a good idea to have the robot do a map round first. A map round is accompanied by slightly less noise than a cleaning round, and once it's completed you can set cleaning zones and avoidance zones in the iRobot Home app to make sure the robot cleans exactly where you want it and when you want it. The Roomba has a bumper and during its round will approach an obstacle (furniture, wall, etc) and gently tap it to see exactly where it can go and where it can't.
